Though ducks usually like the wet, the band don't. This year's fundrasing duck race was held inside the bandroom due to the copious amounts of rain we've been having recently. Various members of the band were blindfolded and netted the winning ducks from a plastic box to make it at fair as possible for all the entrants.

The final was held outside on the flooded rugby pitch next door. Though this seemed like a good idea at the time, as the sun was out and was moderately breezy. The rain promptly began again and the wind died, leaving most of the ducks stranded on the swamped Pandy Park pitch. The winners were the 3 ducks furthest away after 5 minutes.

A big thanks needs to go to Paul Stevens and David Glastonbury for braving the waterlogged pitch to rescue our ducks. Also, thank you everyone that bought a duck, the money we've raised is a big help towards us going to Harrogate.
